Y Golau yn y Gadair

Overview

We all remember the touching moment Tudur Hallam was chaired as The Bard of the Chair at The National Eisteddfod of Wrexham, 2025. This accomplishment touched the heart of our nation. Y Golau yn y Gadair includes his winning ‘awdl', a traditional long poem written in strict metre, on the theme of ‘Dinas' (The City). The poem is about coming to terms with a diagnosis of invasive cancer. -- Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru

Reviews

The poems discuss a wide range of experiences and emotions, and present to us tender seconds, mixed feelings and images that will long remain in the memory. Without a doubt, this is a striking volume that embodies the true power of poetry. -- Cyhoeddwr: Cyhoeddiadau Barddas

Author Information
