Overview

A fantasy skirmish solo/coop wargame inspired by Greek mythology. In the age of gods and monsters, humanity clings to its existence in isolated city states. Besieged on all sides by the forces of destruction, their only hope lies with the heroic demigods. These warriors, explorers, and diplomats use the superhuman abilities granted by their divine blood to bring order to the chaos. Guided by the wisdom of the gods, the demigods sail the wine-dark sea searching for adventure, battling horrific creatures, and protecting the helpless. Warriors of Athena can be played in three ways: solo, with one brave hero leading their crew into the unknown; cooperatively, with heroes banding together for a great expedition to face the creatures plaguing the Aegean; or with one player taking on the role of Storyteller, scripting adventures and presenting challenges for the heroes and their crews to overcome. Warriors of Athena: Crew Guide contains all the basic rules for play, including how to create a demigod hero and chart their rise to fame and glory, how to assemble a ship and crew to travel to new and distant lands, and how to control your characters and their adversaries on the tabletop. While the basic rules of play are simple enough for anyone to pick up quickly, the extensive list of character options ensures there is plenty of decision making for experienced players. Players will also need the Warriors of Athena: Voyages Guide to make full use of this book.
