Author Information

Mari Mancusi regrets having never applied to Nevermore Academy, as she's certain she'd have fit right in. An Emmy-winning former television producer and author of more than thirty books-including The Nightmare Before Christmas Twisted Tale from Disney Press-she has always been a huge Tim Burton fan and has streamed Wednesday more times than Thing has fingers. When not writing, she enjoys going to Disney World, playing video games, and watching scary (and cheesy!) horror movies. Jarrett Melendez is an award-winning comic book writer, cookbook author, and food journalist. His work has appeared in Bon Appetit, Saveur, Epicurious, and Food52, and he is the author of My Pokemon Baking Book and RuneScape The Official Cookbook. His best-known work is Chef's Kiss from Oni Press, which won the Alex Award from the American Library Association and was nominated for both a GLAAD award for Outstanding Graphic Novel and an Eisner Award for Best Publication for Teens. Melendez grew up on the mean, deer-infested streets of Bucksport, Maine, but now lives in Massachusetts with his collection of Monokuro Boo plush pigs.
