Dr Caroline Harper unveils humanity's cosmic discoveries, from exoplanets to galactic evolution, and the iconic images that bring them to life. Showcasing the ingenuity and power of the James Webb Space Telescope, Unseen Universe is a tribute to global astrophysics, a testimony to the UK's contribution, and a tale of shared, expert endeavour. -- Dr Paul Bate * Chief Executive Officer, UK Space Agency * After long years of working, waiting, and worrying, here is all the wonder of JWST's first year of images in this beautiful book much enhanced by Caroline Harper's really accessible text. -- David Southwood, Imperial College London * former Director of Science, European Space Agency * This book captures the real excitement and scale of the James Webb Space Telescope project. The plentiful illustrations - mainly from the JWST, Hubble and other modern facilities - are both very beautiful and highly thought-provoking. Great advances in astronomy and cosmology are promised. Who could fail to be inspired by this fantastic contemporary quest for deeper knowledge of our Universe? -- Prof Mike Edmunds * President of the Royal Astronomical Society *
