Reviews

There is an urgency and honesty in these pages, that this war is not only about Ukraine, but the personal freedom of each of us. There is nothing fake here in Iryna's writing, only gut-wrenching honesty that draws out an emotional response. Paul Willoughby Author, Don't Waste Your Pain: The Journey from Brokenness to Wholeness The vulnerability with which Iryna processes the whole gamut of human emotions which might be experienced within a single day, reminds us that by faith we can have an abundant life, even in the midst of war. I come full circle in my reading - the very act of planting tulips is an act of faith. Miriam Charter, Ph.D. Retired Professor, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School It is important that we hear the stories of this time and remember, Iryna has written a book of the memories of an ordinary woman and her family, that will inspire us with their faith and remind us that there is hope - hope for victory, but more importantly, hope for peace. Edgar C. Sherman Retired Acting Dean, College of Humanities and International Studies, University of the Nations
