Andrew Blum is a journalist. He studied literature at Amherst College and human geography at the University of Toronto. He has written about architecture, design, urbanism, art, and travel. Nonetheless, his specialty is new technologies, in particular, the Internet. Since 1999 he has regularly published articles in newspapers and magazines including Wired, New York Times, The New Yorker, Business Week, Metropolis, Popular Science, Gizmodo, The Atlantic, Architectural Record, and Slate. He lives and works in New York City.
