Terry Allen is a world-renowned visual artist and songwriter who straddles the disparate, and usually distant, worlds of conceptual art and country music. He's released more than a dozen music albums since the mid-1970s and his work resides in collections of the Met, MoMA, the Hirshhorn, and many more. He's based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Brendan Greaves is Terry's biographer, collaborator, and friend. His writing on art and music has been published by Yale University Press, Duke University Press, University of North Carolina Press, and numerous academic journals.
