Overview

Noor Kaur Rai grows up in Bhootan village in the Doaba region of Punjab, where life moves quietly between fields, courtyards, and family traditions. As a child, she dreams of a life beyond the village, but adulthood arrives in a way she never expected. In 2009, Noor is rushed into marriage and moves to her husband's family home in Atwal village. The marriage soon reveals itself to be empty, leaving her isolated inside a house that seems to carry secrets of its own. While exploring a long-forgotten room, Noor discovers the unfinished manuscript of a young writer who once lived in the house decades earlier. As she begins to read, she realizes his story was never truly left behind. What begins as fear slowly turns into an unlikely connection. Together, Noor and the unseen writer begin to restore the manuscript he never had the chance to complete.
