Author Information

Elizabeth (Ibby) MacKinnon met Herb Lourie in Durham, NH while they were both teaching at the University of New Hampshire. They married in 1956. She had an undergraduate degree from Smith College and did her graduate degree at Columbia University. She taught physical education and health for a number of years and elementary art for eighteen years in Keene New Hampshire where she and Herb raised their two daughters.
