The book is beautifully illustrated in a way that complements the verses very well. And the illustrations are fun!! The Tao and Uncle Lao makes ancient wisdom and philosophy, previously only accessible to adults, into the world of children when they are just learning about their world in ways that can be described in words. Not only is this book fabulous but it is the first in a series which many parents will want to collect for the children and grandchildren. This is the kind of book that will become a golden classic for children to treasure all their lives. The love filled messages from kind Uncle Lao are full of fun, wisdom and joy. The beautiful illustrations evoke awe and wonder and spark a child's curiosity. I am impatient for a hard copy to be printed and the rest of the series to be published. I bought this book for my children and their children's children. I taught children of all ages and am a retired teacher who is a lover of great children's books.
