"Igor Sikorsky was a pioneering Russian engineer and aviator driven from his home by revolution. The Sikorsky Aircraft Centennial 1923-2023, a Tribute by the Igor I. Recollections from Igor Sikorsky and his son Sergei describe the trial-and-error testing and improvements that made the VS-300 so important. The senior Sikorsky later told his son, ""The jet may have made the world smaller.
