Tony Rutledge fell in love with bocce as a ten-year-old when his father brought home a set of balls from Italy. Over the next six plus decades, he has shared that love with family, friends, and students during his forty-one year career as an elementary school teacher. Now retired, he continues his search for the ""Perfect Bocce"" in parks, beaches, backyards, and anywhere else in nature the game takes him. He currently lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where he continues to share with neighbors, old friends, and new acquaintances the infectious pure joy and warm camaraderie of the marvelous game of bocce.
