Morehouse, born in the mountains of upstate New York. Through his youth, he was mentored by his grandfather. He taught him how to fish, trap and hunt. These skills were crucial to the family's survival. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy, where he received more survival training and later found himself serving on a ship that was involved in the Cuban Blockade during the Missile Crisis. Later his ship would standby to rescue Americans from Haiti during the Dominion/Haiti Crisis. Later, he would serve an extended hitch due to the Viet Nam War. After returning home, he married, and later, joined the Army National Guard and serviced in various photography assignments. Among many other jobs, he has worked as a professional writer and photographer for over 35 years.
