Overview

The Plan presents a layman's perspective of God's Plan for man derived from His Word. The Plan of God for man presents two separate Creations for man's existence: this present Creation and a Creation yet to come, where man inherits the eternal consequences of his choice. The Plan offers details of this divine Plan supported by Scripture references to expand the reader's assessment of their merit. It offers perspectives from the Word of God that the reader may not have considered, such as interaction between the three parts of man, spiritual significance of the patriarch Job, and the Nicene Creed as a weapon of spiritual warfare. Bertram D. Smith, Jr. is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a professional degree in naval engineer from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served eight years at sea in four different ships through eight deployments to the Western Pacific, six of which were during the war in Vietnam. He has provided management consulting services to the United States government, the government of Canada, and private companies in the United States. He has served as a lector, Bible study teacher, and home group leader within the Christian Church for many years.
