Author Information

Author: Ryan Alderman was born and raised in the southern regions of Sydney. He is a father of 2 and played rugby for over 15 years. He is an electrician by trade and in his spare time enjoys fishing, golf and spending time with his family. Ryan draws inspiration from poets such as Banjo Patterson and has plans to write a sequel to The Outback Stars. Illustrator: Katherine Appleby is an illustrator, artist and designer inspired by nature and intrigued by the endless possibilities of human imagination. She works across multiple artistic disciplines, including watercolour, acrylic and digital mediums, to create work that is meticulous, whimsical and colourful in nature... with a just a touch of quirkiness. Katherine has a Bachelor of Creative Arts with Distinction from the University of Southern Queensland, with a double major in Visual Arts and in Marketing. With an interested in design, she also completed a Certificate IV in Graphic Design and is currently working through the Diploma. In 2014, she was awarded the Golden Key International Honour Society award for Visual and Performing Arts (Painting).
