Reviews

“When your structure works, confidence follows. The One-Page Keynote gives experts a clear system for designing talks that resonate, persuade, and stick, without relying on charisma or theatrics. If you want your message to land with clarity and impact, read this book.” — Dr Shadé Zahrai, bestselling author of Big Trust “As a co-founder of Talkadot, I’m obsessed with one question and one outcome for speakers: Did your message land, and did it move people to action? The One-Page Keynote is the clearest blueprint I’ve seen for building a keynote speech that earns attention, answers what the audience is already thinking, and drives real action, even if you’re not a ‘natural’ on stage.” — Arel Moodie, Co-Founder, Talkadot “Finally! A book that treats a keynote as what it really is: a designed experience that changes how people see something. The One-Page Keynote offers a smart, no-nonsense framework to shape the story, the argument, and the ask, without depending on charisma or theatrics. If you need to speak to ‘sell’ ideas, you need this book—now.” — Tamsen Webster, Founder, The Message Design Institute; award-winning author of Say What They Can’t Unhear “As someone who has spent decades helping executives, experts, and leaders transform ideas into influence, I am always interested when a book promises clarity over charisma. The One-Page Keynote delivers precisely that, and it does so with intelligence, humility, and practical rigor. If you are an expert who wants your ideas to be remembered and to create change, The One-Page Keynote deserves a place on your desk, not just your bookshelf.” — Patricia Fripp, CSP, CPAE, past President, National Speakers Association; author of Deliver Unforgettable Presentations “Brian Miller knows first-hand that public speaking isn’t magic—because he knows magic isn’t magic. But he also knows that communication can do magic. And he understands—better than most rhetoric experts—how to make that happen. In this book, he teaches you the process, step by surprisingly simple step.” — David Murray, Executive Director, Professional Speechwriters Association “The One-Page Keynote framework is for people like me—introverts who want to serve but keep getting asked to do it from a stage. This book makes it easier to say ‘yes.’” — Chris Do, Founder and CEO, The Futur “For almost two decades, I’ve been asked, ‘What’s the best book about giving a great speech?’ I’ve read many and honestly couldn’t recommend any of them—until now.” — Jon Yeo, CSP, Curator, TEDxMelbourne “Brian Miller does something rare in this book: He explains why great talks work without mystifying the process or attempting to turn speakers into performers they are not. The One-Page Keynote shows that what moves an audience is not charisma, clever stories, or stage tricks; it’s structure. If you are an expert who already knows your material but feels like your message sometimes lands flat, this book will fix that. And if you are a strong performer who has relied on presence to carry your message, this book will make your work sharper, clearer, and far more effective. This is not about learning how to speak. It is about learning how to be understood.” — Christopher Carter, mentalist and keynote speaker; author of In the Spotlight “This book makes positive influence feel accessible to anyone. Brian’s OPK method walks you right up to total confidence, step by step. And he makes the important stuff unforgettable, with enlightening examples and personal stories that are both relatable and entertaining. Truly one of the most enjoyable business books I’ve ever read.” — Sheperd Simmons, Founder, Counterpart Communication Design “Finally, keynote speaking made easy. This is the book I wish I’d had early in my corporate career. Back then, I had no idea that great speeches could be mapped out step by step. No more wondering what it means to ‘step inside your audience’s shoes.’ Brian is the real deal. If you want to deliver a talk that transforms your audience, busts conventional wisdom or demonstrates why you’re the expert, read this book.” — Rebecca Okamoto, Communication Consultant; Founder, Evoke Strategy Group “The One-Page Keynote is by far the most useful non-fiction book I´ve ever read. All the principles are gathered in an easy-to-read format, and integrating them into my own speechwriting has led to a massive increase in engagement and impact. The real magic lies in the structure. From first-hand experience, I know The One-Page Keynote will dramatically improve your ability to reach the hearts and minds of your target audience.” — Peder Tellefsdal, PR Expert; Speaker; Author of Rebranding the Church “Let’s be honest: We’ve all sat through speeches and wondered if the speaker got lost on the way to their own point. The One-Page Keynote is a masterclass in creating talks with meaning, flow, and real impact. I’m a fan! And yes—I use it myself.” — Martin Lespérance, North American Inspirational Speaker of the Year 2024; author of Inspire “This book got me with the first line: ‘Most speeches suck.’ Yes! That’s because most speakers don’t know, or refuse to accept, that a ‘winning personality’ isn’t nearly enough. Listening is hard, and the way to beat that problem is structure—structure that comports with (even exploits) human nature. Brian’s a magician, and in this book, he’ll teach you one helluva trick.” — Michael Long, Instructor in Writing, Georgetown University; author of Taming the Molecule of More
