The Nibelung Code - The Chronicler of Panion: A historical novel about a young scribe on the eve of great events

Overview

Panion, AD 448. A wounded tribunus reaches the family home of the young scriptor Priscus of Panion and entrusts him with a sealed parchment intended for the imperial court in Constantinople. Shortly afterward, the tribunus dies, and his death draws the attention of men suddenly searching for the document. Together with Maximinus and Vigilius, Priscus travels to Constantinople to warn the court. Empress Licinia Eudoxia sends the three as envoys to Attila, but beyond the Hellespont they are drawn into a struggle of power, loyalty, and truth. Ancient legends retold anew: the beginning of a four-volume saga.
