Author Information

Sudabeh Araghi was born in Tehran, where she was immersed in the rich traditions and stories of her homeland from an early age. Following the 1979 revolution, she and her family left Iran and eventually settled in Los Angeles. Though far from her homeland, she remained deeply connected to Persian culture, poetry, and mysticism. Sudabeh had the honor of assisting Josiane in the English translation of The Shahnameh, the legendary epic of Iranian mythology. Their journey has since evolved into a new creative venture: bringing the timeless stories of Rumi to life for children and families around the world. Through these tales from the Masnavi, she hopes to inspire joy, wonder, and wisdom in readers of all ages. Josiane Cohanim is a writer and translator with a deep passion for Persian culture, dedicated to sharing the treasures of its literary tradition. In 2023, she completed a five-volume English translation of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, making the epic poem more accessible to a modern audience. With a strong belief in the power of storytelling to awaken young hearts and minds, she now turns her attention to the timeless wisdom of Rumi. Her gentle adaptations in collaboration with Soudy Araghi aim to preserve the wonder and soulful messages of his teachings, inviting children and families to explore a world where love, reflection, and meaning always lead the way. Faezeh Moradi was born on February 15, 1986, in Arak, Iran. From a young age, she was deeply drawn to the world of art and illustration. While continuing her formal education, she earned degrees in Civil Engineering as well as Architecture and Interior Design. Alongside her academic pursuits, she studied under a master artist, learning traditional Persian techniques such as Siah Qalam-a classical Iranian method using charcoal and graphite. She also received formal training in mixed media design and painting. Faezeh has since combined her artistic passion with her professional training, contributing to numerous architectural and interior design projects internationally. Her artwork has been exhibited in various galleries, showcasing her distinctive blend of classical and contemporary styles. Through her illustrations, she hopes to bring these timeless stories to life, sparking imagination and wonder in young readers around the world.
