At 18 he had his first short story published in The Next Wave: The Gay Times Book of Short Stories (2002). He went on to write more short stories and also articles for various publications including the iconic music magazine The Face. Lewis is the author of Queer Cocktails, also published by Dog ‘n’ Bone Books, and 365 Gays of the Year (White Lion Publishing).
