The Joe

Overview

Joe understands people. As a trained psychologist, Joe has built a career on reading minds, predicting behavior, and uncovering what others try to hide. But when Joe is pulled into a shadow war between two powerful factions, understanding people becomes a matter of survival. These secretive groups don't just influence the world's wealth-they control it. And now they're locked in a silent battle over something more dangerous than money: antimatter, the most valuable substance on the planet. Caught in the middle, Joe is forced into a role that demands precision, detachment ... and deadly action. Hunter. Assassin. Weapon. But in a world where nothing is as it seems, the balance of power can shift in an instant. And soon, Joe is no longer the one in control. From Cliff Allman comes a sharp, twist-laden thriller that bends expectations at every turn-where identity is fluid, power is absolute, and truth is the most dangerous illusion of all.

Author Information

Cliff Allman, a longtime resident of Manhattan Beach, California, has been writing since a young age-his imagination never confined to a single genre or type of story. His work reflects a wide creative range, bringing together compelling characters, unexpected turns, and a natural instinct for storytelling. He built a fast-paced career in advertising at Sports Illustrated, during the glory days of big ideas and bigger stories-an experience that continues to shape the rhythm and energy of his writing. Along the way, raising a family, coaching from the sidelines, and pursuing passions like golf, fishing, and pickleball have all found their way into the fabric of his stories.Cliff's first two books were children's titles, illustrated by his daughters, Claire and Sarah. During the early stages of the pandemic, he wrote and published his first full-length novel, the time-travel thriller The Parallel Lives of John Allen, drawing inspiration from places that have stayed with him-Montana, Martha's Vineyard, and Chicago, where he was born and raised.A graduate of Western Illinois University, Cliff eventually made his way to Los Angeles, where he spent much of his career in advertising sales. Today, he continues to channel a lifetime of experiences into stories that are imaginative, engaging, and distinctly his own.
