Author Information

Heidi Villegas, MEd, CA, is a respected community herbalist, certified professional aromatherapist, skin-care formulator, author, and educator with nearly two decades of hands-on experience helping individuals and families reclaim their health using natural, time-tested methods. With a master's degree in educational administration and numerous teaching credentials as well as thousands of hours of instruction and training in both herbalism and aromatherapy, Heidi blends science, experience, and heart into her work. She is the founder of Healing Harvest Homestead and the School of Botanical Arts & Sciences, where she trains aspiring herbalists and aromatherapists through comprehensive certification courses, community mentorship, and practical real-world guidance. Heidi also holds certifications in Christian life coaching, breath work, women's natural health, and animal aromatherapy and is actively completing advanced clinical training in aromatherapy and a diploma in skin-care formulation. When she's not creating formulations, writing texts for courses, or teaching, she can be found tending to and foraging for more than a hundred medicinal plants on her northern Idaho homestead--often with one of her seven grandchildren by her side, preserving the nearly forgotten legacy of herbalism for the future generation.
