Overview

In this ninth book in the series, we witness how Tolly Victor Trueblood has grown, and along with his sister Augusta, they become part of the system. Still, they have to fight bigotry and fear from above as politicians panic in the face of the Dragons breath threat, fear of a governmental takeover is rife in Parliament, so the new Prime Minister has a plan to arrest them all, but his plan is flawed in its execution, long term heroes and Dragon men are arrested, Augustus Talbot realizes that they are being attacked and has to devise yet another plan, so he calls Theodore and Patrick from their normal lives to help, this is a time of panic, so all talents must come back and help. Helen is no longer in power as her health fails and this is the trigger for the actions to start against them all. Patrick has to remind them all of the laws of the land as he ties them up in legality. Augusta kills her lover, in the same old madness inherited from her mother, which complicates the whole problem, Augustus has to make a personal visit to sort out the problem in the same old way, and Alice finds out some more of his complicated history as they arrive for the demonstrations in central London.
