Author Information

Junqing Chao holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong, an LL.M. from the University of Leeds, and an LL.B. from the East China University of Political Science and Law. During her doctoral studies, she completed a six-month internship at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). After graduation, she practiced at King & Wood Mallesons, where she specialized in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has represented and assisted clients in arbitrations administered under the rules of major institutions such as the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, AAA/ICDR, and CIETAC. She has also served as an arbitrator for the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, the FDI Moot Shenzhen, the FDI Moot Vietnam, and the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. This book builds upon the foundation of her doctoral research and her extensive practical experience in the field.
