Author Information

Karl Marx was born in Prussia in 1818 but spent most of his adult life in London. He developed a revolutionary interpretation of economics and history that he expounded in Das Kapital. Friedrich Engels was a philosopher born in 1820. He worked closely with Marx after the publication of his own theories in The Condition of the Working Class in England.
