The Circulatio: A Spiraling Process to Get Unstuck and Cultivate Your Authentic Being in Life and Practice

Overview

The path to healing lies within. Here is an invitation to awaken your unique expression in the world. The Circulatio offers a community framework to help you find your own way, to face the hard stuff, reclaim your creativity and courage, and follow your direct experience into your own authentic being, first in your own life and then in your practice with those you serve. Now more than ever, the world needs people in their own center in a grounded and embodied way-authentic, courageous leaders living from their own brilliance and standing in their own trustworthy presence. The Circulatio has group work at its core, but the experiences in the book can be used for personal discovery, application in practice with clients, patients, students, or with friends and family. Take this spiraling journey toward wholeness, freedom, and the deepest expression of who you truly are. The book organizes around the imaginal embodiment work author Shannon Simonelli Ph.D., ATR, has designed and facilitated for over two decades and represents an outgrowth of 30 years of training and experience. Readers are guided through the system with valuable practices for use with patients or clients or to apply in one's own life.

Reviews

Praise for The Circulatio ""Drawing on extensive clinical expertise and years of devoted practice, the author artfully weaves psychological insight, somatic wisdom, and poetic imagination into a clear yet nuanced tapestry. This book stands as a wise and trustworthy companion for clinicians, creative arts therapists, group leaders, and those seeking to enrich their journey of soulful, embodied transformation."" -Tina Stromsted, Ph.D., Jungian analyst, dance/movement and somatics psychotherapist, educator, and author ""Rather than presenting spirituality as abstraction or belief, this work grounds transformation in the body, the breath, and the relational field. It speaks to the necessity of disciplined initiation, ethical responsibility, and the courage required to stand in service-without bypassing the shadow or romanticizing the path. What emerges is a vision of healing that is neither performative nor hierarchical, but relational, alive, and earned through practice."" -Linda Star Wolf, PhD, creator of Shamanic Breathwork(TM), author, and founder of Venus Rising Association for Transformation ""In this remarkable and groundbreaking work, Dr. Shannon Simonelli brilliantly integrates somatic, individual, group movement, and dance into a unique system that is surprisingly easy to follow. The general reader and professional alike will benefit greatly from this much-needed healing experience."" -Michael Guy Thompson, Ph.D., Founder and Director, New School for Existential Psychoanalysis, San Francisco; author
