Tapestry: A Woven Narrative is a review of the history of traditional tapestry, discussing the progression from early designs to tapestry production today. Looking back into the medium's key European developments, the book reveals the early uses of tapestries as decorative wall hangings and church decorations, as well as the Biblical, classical, hierarchal, socio-cultural themes running through early designs and displays. The book also looks in detail at the current tapestry scene, beginning in earnest with the textile work of Henry Moore.
