Jose Mujica was a Tupamaros guerrilla during the Uruguayan dictatorship and spent almost fifteen years in prison. He served as the fortieth President of Uruguay from 2010 to 2015. He died May 13, 2025. Saúl Alvidrez did the interviews for Surviving the 21st Century. Noam Chomsky is Institute Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Laureate Professor at the University of Arizona, and the author of more than one hundred books. Walter Dixon is a winner of Audible's ""#1 Editor's Choice and Customer Favorites"" award. He has narrated more than 200 audiobooks; performed in musical theater, drama and opera productions, and professional stand-up comedy; and voiced commercials, corporate videos, animated features, vintage radio dramas, and audio tours for the Guggenheim and other museums.
