Supercapacitors: Fast Electrochemical Storage and Conversion of Electric Energy

Overview

This book delivers a complete picture of this highly energy-relevant field, beginning with the fundamentals of electrified interfaces and delving into topics such as double-layer and redox supercapacitors. Supercapacitors are electrochemical devices able to store electric energy at extremely high currents. This book presents relevant aspects of the underlying materials science of electrodes, electrolytes and electrolyte solution, as well as applications on all scales. With a highlight on the importance of supercapacitors in the efficient use of electric energy, this book is ideal for students as well as practicing scientists and engineers seeking to advance this technology.
