Overview

Meet two expats: Harry Maddox, a lawyer for an American drug company, and Sam Roth, an old friend who is currently on the lam on pirating charges (hijacked three containers of drugs from a Shanghai pharmaceutical company that had been mysteriously closed by the Chinese government). Harry has gone to Shanghai to finalize a deal for the drugs and to see Echo, a Chinese informant, with the hope of continuing their affair. Harry tells Sam the truth. The drugs are a new possible cure for AIDS. These containers are going to be shipped to Harry's wife, Mira, a doctor, and their son, Ian. They are setting up AIDS clinics in the ghettos of South Africa. Both men suddenly realize that the Chinese government and drug dealers have promised some very major kingpins, very bad dealers, a multi-million-dollar score. Everyone is hunting them down. Neither showdown is going to end with a handshake or a safe exit. Echo may be the key and last shot, literally and figuratively, at getting these containers shipped.

From 1965 to present, artist Garey Riester has lived in four states and three countries in a total of 54 different locations and 14 different studios. He has completed more than 750 works of art, without the inclusion of art prints and photographs. More than 150 pieces of his art have sold, and resold at auctions, and belong to more than 60 private collections and hang in several museums.His screenplays have been in about two dozen festivals and optioned twice. He was once represented by the Gersh Agency in New York City.
