Dr. Mohieddine Rahmouni , Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Economics and Quantitative Methods at the Applied College, King Faisal University (Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia), and at the High School of Economic and Commercial Sciences of Tunis (ESSECT), University of Tunis, Tunisia. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics through a joint program between the University of Montesquieu Bordeaux-IV (now University of Bordeaux), France, and the University of Tunis. His research focuses on innovation economics, applied econometrics, productivity, and industrial dynamics, with particular emphasis on economic development in emerging economies. Dr. Rahmouni has published in leading international journals, including Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, the Journal of Industrial and Business Economics, and the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management. His work examines external knowledge sources, innovation drivers, and the policy impacts shaping firm-level performance. Actively engaged in global academic and policy communities, Dr. Rahmouni contributes to informing innovation policy in the Global South, positioning him as a key voice in advancing studies on university–government partnerships and innovation ecosystems.
