He also is the IEEE Senior Member and the Member of IEEE IES PETC Power Quality Sub-Committee. Prof. Chen received the BEng degree and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include railway traction power system modelling and analysis, reliability assessment and extension, railway energy management. He has been leading on a number of projects fund by National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program and e.t.c. The related research has been implemented in more than 20 high-speed railways and urban railways in China.
