Author Information

Frédérique Woerther, ENS-Ulm (A/L 1995), Ph.D. (2003), Habil. (2015), is Director of Research in the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, UMR 8230). A specialist in Greek rhetorical theory of the classical and hellenistic periods, she has also studied the reception of Aristotelian philosophy, with an emphasis on the rhetorical, ethical, and political treatises, in the medieval Arabic world. Jawdath Jabbour is a researcher at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, TDMAM, UMR 7297) and has been working on the PhIC and PhaSIF research projects under the direction of Maroun Aouad since 2013. His research areas include the study of pre-Avicennian Islamic philosophy and its transmission as well as the codicological study of philosophical and medical manuscripts.
