Charmaine Winchcombe is a local Tasmanian author who is passionate about reading and encouranging young people to spend more time reading books.""Reading is an adventure. Through reading books you spark imagination, creativity and discover new ideas.""Charmaine wrote her first picture book, ""Daisy the Quoll"", to raise awareness for the plight of the Spotted Quoll in Tasmania and other endangered and threatened species; highlighting the need to protect Tasmanian wildlife for future generations. ""Penny the Shy Platypus"" is her second book.The books and resources created by Little Wombat Books seek to inspire, educate, and challenge young readers to value Tasmanian Wildlife and to enjoy reading. Charmaine has over 16 years of experience working in Primary Education in Tasmania, Australia. Laura is an Argentinian illustrator. She studied Fine Arts and has always enjoyed drawing.
