Programmed for honesty and integrity, Darius now experiences fluctuations in his behavior: disturbing bursts of jealousy, anger, and dishonesty. Worried that this might make him a danger to his friends, he goes on a secret quest to see how far his new impulses might take him - and finds himself playing a pivotal role in a palace revolution in a parallel Africa.
