Overview

When Paloma arrives at the big building with so many other children living there, she stays silent and watches. But soon the cozy red carpet beckons—a place for her to draw and make friends, learn the language and learn to read. More change looms, however, and the children learn they'll have to leave their beloved carpet behind, so Paloma and her friends get creative and imagine a fitting farewell for their magic carpet. Carme Lemniscates is an author, illustrator, and designer of children’s books. She finds inspiration in nature and mythology—and seeks to create books that grow each reader’s love and respect for this wonderful planet we share. She enjoys creating stories and art that can help children navigate the realities of our world today, as well as better understand themselves and others.
