Overview

This book aims to fill a gap in the market. Most astrophotography books spend just a chapter dealing with what can be photographed with just a camera on a tripod but this is not enough to do justice to what can really be achieved. Aimed at complimenting the popular Nightscenes annual guide to astronomical events for the year, Nightscenes - Guide to Simple Astrophotography shows you don't have to have a telescope in order to capture many naked eye aspects of the Universe with a camera. Mostly focusing on SLR/DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras however many of the aspects are also applicable to other cameras including the increasingly more sophisticated smart phone cameras.
