He received his PhD in Chemistry in 2009. He started his career as an Assistant Professor at the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 2010, where he is currently a Full Professor. His research interests focus on the design and development of novel catalysts, nanomaterials, and green chemistry. He has hundreds of ISI-JCR (Institute for Scientific Information-Journal Citation Reports) publications. Some of his honors include being named the Distinguished Researcher of the Islamic University of Science and Technology, India, from 2010 to 2023, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry Prize for Green Chemistry in 2016, and being recognized as one of the Top 1% International Scientists in ESI (Essential Science Indicators) (Web of Science) from 2018 to 2025.He is affiliated with the Catalysts and Organic Synthesis Research Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran.
