OverviewThis book distills two decades of academic and scientific advancements in railway traction electrification. It provides comprehensive coverage of negative-sequence control, including a single-phase comprehensive compensation model, and details co-phase power supply strategies for traction substations via reactive-power schemes designed to minimize capacity requirements and standard-group (?) combined compensation, as well as active-power schemes featuring single-phase and single-/three-phase combined designs with AC-DC-AC converter control. Furthermore, the text explores the expansion of power-supply modes through bilateral continuous and intelligent supply, traction-network voltage-quality assurance and a co-phase AT scheme to enhance capacity and utilization. It also addresses protection and monitoring via sectional protection and intelligent monitoring/control to isolate faults and streamline operations and maintenance (O&M), and green power initiatives leveraging new energy and zero-carbon continuous-supply technologies. Finally the book presents forward-looking proposals for rail-transit traction, including 3kV power-frequency AC rolling stock and intelligent power supply/control for unmanned driving. This book serves as a primary resource for graduate and doctoral students specializing in Railway Traction Electrification and Automation. Table of ContentsIntroduction.- Traction Load.- Negative Sequence Analysis.ReviewsAuthor InformationLi Qunzhan, a professor and doctoral advisor, has extensive expertise in railway traction electrification and automation. He is a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, the founder of the co-phase power supply technology, and the leader of a National Model Worker and Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio. He also previously served as the Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University. He has spearheaded over 20 major national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects, authored 7 monographs, published more than 300 academic papers, and secured over 300 national patents, including 26 international patents. Additionally, he is a key contributor to the development of 6 national, industrial, and local technical standards. He is a recipient of the First Prize of the China Railway Society Science and Technology Award, among numerous other prestigious honors. Notably, his pioneering work in co-phase power supply technology has been integrated into several national strategies, such as the National Strategic Emerging Industry Demonstration Project. This technology has been implemented in critical infrastructure such as the Batuta-Jungar Heavy-Haul Railway. He also proposed a ""three-step"" development strategy for rail transit encompassing ""co-phase power supply"", ""new rail transit power frequency AC 3 kV traction power supply system"", and ""intelligent power supply/control transportation system"", designed to establish a new rail transit industry chain.
