Migration and upgrade of a VoIP data centre from CUCM 7.0 to CUCM


Overview

During our work placement, we were able to deliver unified VoIP communications to SOTETEL's client by migrating from CUCM 7.0 to CUCM 9.0 and from the MCS architecture to the UCS architecture. To achieve this, we analysed the existing architecture of the data centre located at Telecom El Wardia to identify the key factors driving the migration. It is also important to note that solutions must be found for all these issues in order to carry out a technological, hardware and software migration within a virtualised environment. To carry out our project, we utilised new Cisco equipment and several server applications within a virtualised 'UCS' solution.
