OverviewNoble metal nanoparticles have an awfully surface-to-volume ratio and high stability of atoms at their surfaces and are known to exhibit high catalytic performance in a variety of preparative chemical transformations. These emergent properties have the potential for great impacts in optical, electronics, mechanical, biomedical, catalysis and other fields. The traditional synthetic methodologies for producing of nobel metal nanoparticles involve various physical or chemical methods with the aid of toxic and hazardous reducing and stabilizing agents. Microwave assisted green synthesis method save energy and are environmentally friendly, because the reactions take place in closed isolated system conditions. In the present study nobel metal naoanoparticles i.e. Pd, Ag, Pt and Au synthesized using gums such as guar gum, neem gum, gum acacia and gum ghatti in a microwave oven.
