A popular radio broadcaster, distinguished critic and academic, and multi-award-winning poet, in 2026 Michael won the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award for writing - the first UK winner in 16 years. Michael was appointed the Children's Laureate from 2007 to 2009, and is now Professor of Children's Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London. Hannah Robinson is an illustrator and cartoonist who has worked for numerous international publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Guardian.
