Author Information

J.C. Warner is Principal Scientist for Warner Consulting, Inc. Dr. Warner received a PhD in Metallurgy from Iowa State University. His primary interest is real product and process improvement through useful, understandable procedures. He has directed and supported hundreds of technical projects and has consulted in the United States, England, and the Czech Republic. He taught metallurgy and advanced statistical methods at Milwaukee School of Engineering for 11 years. R. Dean Odell is a professor at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, where he teaches courses in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Department and continues to leverage his educational videos to enhance student learning. He graduated from SUNY Polytechnic with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and holds a Senior-Level GD&T certification from ASME, as well as a certificate of Combination Welding from Modern Welding School in Schenectady, New York. Mr. Odell also worked as a machinist apprentice and welder for several years and has experience in design and drafting gained as a Mechanical Designer for the US Naval Nuclear Program. Daniel A. Brandt was Director Emeritus of the Rapid Prototyping Center and Professor Emeritus of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
