Reviews

"Novels featuring celebrities are of enormous interest to the reading public, and ""Megastar"" is no exception. Addison Stone was born with an incredible talent; he could sing like an angel and when he turned 19 and this fact became public, his meteoric rise to fame was assured. But his naivety and his sudden fame led him to Lose the young woman he fell in love with. It would be many years before their paths crossed again but they do. ""Megastar"" was so very refreshing as the story concentrated on Addison's deep emotional feelings, portraying how money and fame cannot replace true love. This novel skillfully takes readers behind the scenes of the entertainment industry, allowing us to peep behind the stage curtains. The writing flows easily and the pace keeps up until the explosive ending. I highly recommend. A well-deserved 5 stars! Lucinda E Clarke, Readers' Favorite. ""Megastar"" is the story of the rise to sudden musical fame and fortune as 19-year-old Addison Stone traverses his painful memories of his past and his future. Especially notable is Eastwood's ability to blend realistic dialogue and deep character insights into the story. Libraries and readers seeking novels steeped in reflective accounts of changing love and ambition will find ""Megastar"" thought-provoking and worthy of book club debate and discussion as its hero attempts to move from tragedy to uplifting new possibilities in both life and love. 5 Stars. D. Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review. This unique story begins with Lacy, Addison Stone's single mother plagued with demons from her abused childhood. She has passed her demons to her son who becomes withdrawn. Addison was born with an extraordinary voice, and Ben, their single and retired neighbor, convinces him to join the church choir. Soon, people are packing the church just to hear Addison sing. With the help of a talent agent, Addison soon becomes a rising international singing star. ""Megastar"" is a masterfully crafted story with a heartwarming and touching on again off again love story. Each character is fleshed out in minute detail and great depth. In ""Megastar"" Author Eastwood knows how to pull at the reader's heartstrings. Highly recommend! 5-Stars - International Review of Books. ""Megastar"" embarks on a captivating odyssey through the life of Addison Jordon Stone, whose journey is punctuated by sudden and unexpected fame, personal turmoil, and profound emotional depth. Eastwood skillfully unveils the tapestry of Addison's existence, from his modest origins to his ascent as a celebrated and beloved entertainer, to his newfound love followed by a life-changing confrontation with mortality. Eastwood's prose is a symphony of evocative imagery and rich description, transporting readers into the heart of each scene and immersing them in the complex emotions of all the characters. ""Megastar"" stands as a testament to Author Eastwoods' storytelling prowess, offering readers a poignant and emotionally resonant literary experience that lingers long after the final page is turned. 5 Stars - Literary Titan Reviews."

Author Information

RJ Eastwood is from the southwest, smokes thin cigars, and likes his whiskey (how couldn't he with that name?!). He has a soft spot for kittens and damsels in distress and enjoys the occasional game of poker with friends. He lives in an adobe-style house where he can watch the sunset every evening from his front porch. Well, not really... this name is as fictional as his writing. In truth, R.J. Eastwood is the pen name for Robert J. Emery.
