Prof Dr Khaled R. Mohamed is an esteemed scholar in the field of biomaterials, with over three decades of academic and research excellence. He earned his B.Sc. in 1991, M.Sc. in 1997, and Ph.D. in 2004, all from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt. Since 2016, he has served as a Professor of Biomaterials at the National Research Centre in Cairo, contributing significantly to advancements in bone grafting applications and bone tissue engineering. Prof Mohamed is a distinguished member of several scientific societies, including the Scientific Syndicate of Egypt, and has an active role as a reviewer for both local and international research projects and peer-reviewed journals. His prolific academic output includes approximately 36 research papers published in esteemed journals, two awarded patents, and notable contributions to scholarly books. He authored two chapters, Biocomposite Materials (2012) and Medical Bioceramics Materials (2016), showcasing his expertise in bioceramics and biocomposites. In 2023, he further expanded his contributions to the field with the publication of the book Biomaterials Applications – Medical Biocomposites Material. With a career dedicated to innovation and scientific excellence, Prof Mohamed continues to inspire advancements in biomaterials research and its transformative applications in medicine.
