Reviews

This volume provides a rich and comprehensive resource for academics and teacher-educators designing or teaching on this type of module... As a resource for lecturers it provides really good, challenging and thought-provoking study tasks, and a helpful checklist of topics to be covered and key issues to discuss. It would also provide a really useful resource for students as key reading. It fills the space between very practical handbooks for teachers on aspects of materials writing and more theoretical volumes on principles and processes of materials writing. --Nick Andon, King's College London ELT Journal From the perspective of a director of MAs in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, I appreciate that this course (1) pulls together a wide range of relevant literature up to 2014, (2) emphasizes the importance of applying principles based on second language acquisition studies, (3) considers issues related to diversifying English across the globe, and (4) contains useful thought-provoking tasks and activities including some examples of materials developed by the authors. --Hitomi Masuhara, University of Liverpool TESOL Quarlerly
