(Research) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras in 2013 and 2021, respectively. She is currently the Chief Technical Officer/Chief Operating Officer of Gridsentry Private Limited, a substation cybersecurity startup incubated at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur. Her research interests include deregulation, electricity markets, cybersecurity, game theory, and AI applications in power systems. She has many research papers in journals and conferences on smart power systems, game theory, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for power system applications. She has won several awards during her academic career. She served as deputy manager at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) until July 2021, where she was in charge of the design, planning, and operation of/400/220 kV substations. K. Shanti Swarup is a faculty with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. He completed PhD from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 1991. Before joining the department as a visiting faculty member, he held positions at the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Osaka, Japan, and Kitami Institute of Technology, Hokkaido, Japan, serving as a visiting research scientist and visiting professor, respectively, from 1992 to 1999. Since 2000, he has been a professor at IIT Madras. His research areas include Power Systems, Smart Grids, artificial intelligence, knowledge-based systems, computational intelligence, soft computing, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Power System Automation, and Network Protection.
