Melanie Moore was at a doctor's appointment having a bone scan after being diagnosed with breast cancer. On the ceiling tile, where she gazed up during the long bone scan, was an image of a honey bear and some other animal friends, floating in a hot air balloon with puffy white clouds all around. This is when and where she started composing her first children's book using her imagination and the power of dreaming big, with a bit of a human twist. She received treatment while living in NYC metro area and was fed love and inspiration by healthcare workers, family and friends which helped immensely during treatment. Melanie is now in remission, happily living in California with her husband and 8 year old son.
