Topics of particular interest have been human sexuality, women's issues, feminist practice, career management, and assisted dying. She is a founding member of sexual assault centres in Ottawa and Calgary, a Calgary out-of-school program, Calgary Climate Action Network (CCAN), and Calgary Social Workers for Social Justice.
