OverviewThe pandemic of 2020-2021 left most of us feeling imprisoned in one way or another. Some of us were actually incarcerated. Your prison may not be bars of steel or razor wire. Your prison may be that of sin, addiction, illness, or trauma. But there is hope! There is nothing more encouraging than God's Word, but sometimes we become so imprisoned to our feelings or circumstances that we cannot hear Him. We must rely on others to remind us that we all are loved. That's what this book is all about-reminding us that God can deliver us from any type of prison. Patterned after the Apostle Paul's letters from prison, LETTERS TO PRISON consists of excerpts and scripture from letters sent to the author by loving friends and family while incarcerated. Hopefully, these letters of encouragement and faith bring release, joy, and hope to others as well. Beverly A. Stubblefield, Ph. D. was born, reared, and educated in Mississippi. Growing up in the home of a Baptist minister grounded Dr. Stubblefield for her calling as a Clinical Psychologist. After completing an internship at the VA Medical Center in New Orleans and receiving her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Stubblefield entered private practice in Slidell, Louisiana, where she combined her two loves-horses and psychotherapy by establishing The Equestrian Therapy Center of Slidell. Inspiration for this book came from experiences while incarcerated at a Federal Prison Camp for two years. Now retired after 30 years of clinical practice, Dr. Stubblefield and her husband enjoy living in her family home, which houses her father's extensive library that provides resources for writing. In retirement, Dr. Stubblefield received a Diploma in Biblical Studies from Samford University. Hobbies include playing the organ for church, riding horses, and AAUW meetings..
