OverviewMichael Patts is sixteen; mouthy, insecure and too smart for his own good. When the small town Michael has moved to turns against Lester, an old visiting tramp, Michael decides to befriend the man. But Lester harbours a secret that will change Michael, and the small town, forever. This is a powerful and dramatic novel - with both street cred and humour to engage its teenage audience.
